A new front air intake graphic, sculpted hood, and updated front bumper and fenders give Volvo's timeless design expression a contemporary, dynamic upgrade.
A new iteration of the Thor’s Hammer headlights
Slimmed-down headlights provide an upgraded look and include enhanced lighting technology.
Dynamic new wheel designs
All-new wheel designs across the new XC90 range give the SUV a dynamic, modern look. Available wheel sizes range from 20 inches to 22 inches.
Interior updates
Experience XC90's legendary, spacious seating for 6 or 7 passengers
Individual, ergonomically-designed seats help ensure each passenger feels comfortable, with access to cupholders and USB-C outlets. The 6-passenger model now includes integrated armrests and cupholders on each second-row captain's chair. For added comfort, the second-row seats are available with heating.

Reimagined center console design
A new center console houses additional storage solutions and a newly standard crystal gear shifter made exclusively for Volvo by Orrefors. Just forward of the shifter, a standard wireless phone charger keeps you recharged and ready to go.
Ride and comfort updates
A quieter and more comfortable drive
Thanks to improved sound insulation with acoustic foam filled pillars and a new frequency selective damping system, the new XC90 provides a serene ride. An available air suspension monitors the road 500 times per second and self-levels for additional ride comfort.

Is the new XC90 available as a gas (mild hybrid) vehicle or plug-in hybrid? 
The new XC90 will be available as either a gas (mild hybrid) vehicle or as a plug-in hybrid.
Gas (mild hybrid) is available with the B6 AWD powertrain (295 horsepower).
For maximum efficiency, power, and up to 53 kilometres* of pure electric range, the plug-in hybrid is standard with the T8 AWD powertrain (up to 455 combined horsepower).
*Estimated range according to the US EPA driving cycles. The actual range achieved under real conditions varies depending on driving behavior, driving conditions, how you maintain your vehicle, battery and other external factors.
Does the new XC90 have new exterior colours and upholstery options?
Yes, the new XC90 offers new responsibly produced upholsteries including a bio-attributed Nordico and a recycled premium Herringbone Weave textile. Outside, the new XC90 offers a new colour palate, including the new Mulberry Red colour.
Does the new XC90 feature an updated center screen?
Yes, the new XC90 comes standard with a new, larger 11.2-inch touchscreen display. It runs a new generation user interface, similar to that in the all-new EX90 and EX30 models. To further streamline your connected drive, Apple CarPlay is also standard.
