Hill descent control1 can be useful if you are driving downhill, as it allows your vehicle to brake in a more-controlled and active way to help you avoid unwanted acceleration. Along with more controlled braking, HDC changes the feel of the accelerator pedal to improve control and traction on slippery surfaces.
Note
If off-road is deactivated while driving on a steep downhill grade, the automatic braking effect will gradually decrease.
The off-road feature is only available at speeds below 40 km/h (25 mph). Driving at higher speeds automatically disables the feature.

Off-road and One Pedal Drive
When off-road is active, One Pedal Drive is disabled and cannot be adjusted in settings.
