Volvo Assistance1
When the car's safety system is triggered, e.g. in an accident in which the activation level is reached for seatbelt pretensioners or airbags, the car automatically calls Volvo Assistance and a message is sent containing the position of the car, among other things.
Volvo Assistance tries to establish verbal contact with the car's driver and to find out the extent of the collision and the need for help.
Volvo Assistance then contacts the necessary assistance (police, ambulance, recovery, etc.).
If verbal contact cannot be established, Volvo Assistance contacts the relevant authorities that assist with appropriate action.

- The emergency call centre tries to establish verbal contact with the car's driver and to find out the extent of the collision and the need for help.
- The emergency call centre sends the necessary assistance (police, ambulance, towing, etc.).
